Free Healthcare Clinic with Hands Across Our Community MedPACt from UF and UCF!

The Headquarters of the Farmworker Association in Apopka has recently had the privledge of hosting Hands Across Our Community MedPACt for a free healthcare clinic for the community members! Services at this incredible event included pharmaceutical, pediatric, OBGYN, and even physical therapy services! This incredible collaboration with dedicated students and professors from University of Central Florida nursing, medical, physical therapy, and social work schools and University of Florida pharmaceutical school treated over 50 community members for free- a service deeply important to farmworker communities who are often paid very little in spite of the important, meaningful work they do for us all.

Events like this truly honor our farmworker communities the way they deserve to be honored. Every patient was given ample respect, and provided with the services they needed- even dental referrals were made- free of charge. The hard work of the faculty and students of UCF and UF produced a deeply meaningful, productive, and trusting medical environment, and the Farmworker Association is deeply grateful for for this free clinic and everyone involved in making it happen!
